Diane Mortland was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. She attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Management. Diane was a member of the Walt Disney World College Program, which got her hooked on all things Disney.
While at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Daine met her husband, Chris. They have been married for 27 years and have three children; Nathan, 25, Allison, 22, and Davis, 19. They also have two rescue white lab mixes, Oakley and Duke.
After a brief stint in Hospitality Restaurant Management and Retail, she decided she wanted weekends off to spend with her children and had a long career as an IT Recruiter.
Once her children grew into young adults and started entering college, Diane decided it was time to pursue her college major and love of travel and Disney! She started with a travel agency that focused on Disney destinations. But being an avid traveler to the Caribbean and Cruiser, she started getting her certifications in other destinations.
Through the power of Networking, Diane met her business partner Lauren Schultheiss. Lauren and Diane hit it off and had conversations about their careers and what their goals were. They soon realized that if they combined their strengths, they would have a pretty powerful partnership, So Diane joined Lauren as Co-owner of Big Creek Travel. They are excited about the future and growing their business.
